Why do UGC Restrict the No. of Passed Empty Why do UGC Restrict the No. of Passed

This is the season of increase in price and every where and for every thing the price increases. The only thing decreases is the human values.

In related with the context of ugc's injustice towards the candidates who has attended the exam and waited for a good result in June 2012, where ugc implemented a complete objective type exam, it will be interesting to look at the financial reasons behind the decision which ugc increased the criteria as aggregate 65%. Even though the argument of UGC was they done it to keep the quality in teaching. It is actually a good joke if this millennium as there no need of NET exam itself. It was recommended by Mehrothra Committee to standardise the quality of lecturing as there was a grate difference in the conditions, system and evaluation of university education. For some universities getting 70% marks by a student in PG was highest for some others it is lowest and so the necessity of NET. The scene has changed a lot in globalised environment of Education and so to standardise mere NET exam will not do good results
For june 2012 UGC increased the criteria to restrict the number of candidates passing NET. Their justification for such a bad act is related with quality. But many of the thinkers indicate there is a financial reason behind it. The NET candidates are 'ducks which lay golden egg' and so it is not desirable to UGC to kill them. The following cost analysis will prove it
Item
Cost per head(Rs)
1. Preparation for question papers
(include postal expenses,
remuneration to panel members
and other related expenses)
3
2. Printed value of 3 Question papers
(Paper I ,II and III including
10 pages for each
15
3. Cost of OMR Sheet 7
4. Cost of Transportation of QP and
OMR to exam centres and return
3
5. Cost of invigilation and supervision
During Exam
25
6. Cost of Valuation of OMR
(including depreciation of OMR reader machine
and Electricity charges
2
7. Other administrative expenses
( Office postage, telephone,
allowances to special
duty, maintenance of
website, storage of OMR
and miscellaneous expenses)
10

8. Amount given per student to universities
for providing seat
5
TOTAL
Rs 70
UGC Collects a fee of Rs 450 from
General, Rs 225 from OBC NCL
and Rs
110 from SC/ST and earns
an excess of atleast as following

From General 450- 70= 380
OBC 225-70= 155
SC PH 110-70= 40

And how many lakhs profit can they earn from 7.8 lakh candidates?
